3D Felting, using the resist technique, moves one stage on from creating a flat felted piece and can be used to make an object like a bag or a bowl. This workshop will explore the technique and allow you to experiment with a variety of natural fibres including sheep, camel or even yak’s wool, together with silk and many more, interesting fibres to create shapes, only limited by your imagination. No experience is necessary as basic felting techniques will also be covered before moving onto making 3D structures. The workshop is taught by Mary Larkin, a talented 3D felt artist, whose work can be seen in our on-line shop or at ROGHA’s facebook page. The workshop costs £40 (booking is essential).
