Ti Chulainn Cultural Activity Centre is situated in the Ring of Gullion at the foot of the striking landmark of Slieve Gullion. Tí Chulainn has launched the 2016 Féile Thí Chulainn, a celebration of Irish language, culture, heritage, local craft and design. This programme of events will provide a colourful and eclectic mix of music dance, visual arts, craft, heritage, creative workshops and family fun activities.
Speaking at the launch, Tí Chulainn Chairperson Jimmy Mc Creesh said: “We are really proud to present the South Armagh Community and visitors to our area, with a rich, family friendly programme of cultural activities.”
Regardless of your age or interests, Féile Thí Chulainn has something to appreciate and the programme is easy to digest, with events being conveniently outlined and broken down according to category.
The St Patrick’s Day Community festival and Lá Mór na Gaeilge are the programme’s flagship events, with children and teenage offerings including, music, storytelling, drama, an much more. Both these events draw together a range of community organisations and individuals that represent the very best of South Armagh and the rich array of cultural wealth it has to offer.
