Explore the ancient craft of wet felting and use it to “paint” the landscapes of Gullion with wool from it’s sheep. Wet felting is the process of combining layers of wool roving into one flat piece of felt fabric which is then enhanced with the use of needle felting to add texture and detail. No experience is necessary nor is there any need to be “good at art”. Even a complete beginner can let the wool and water tell the tale of green misty hills and fairy trees to make a unique piece of art to be proud of. The workshop is taught by Caoilfíonn Murphy-O’Hanlon, an extraordinary felt artist, whose work can be seen in our on-line shop or at ROGHA’s facebook page. The workshop costs £25 (booking is essential). Ring Cáoilfíonn on +353 872248786 or email [email protected] All materials will be provided.
