Join knowledgeable and entertaining, local historian, Una Walsh for our Lúnasa Lecture: Lúnasa – A Celtic celebration of the god Lugh.
The Celtic year was divided into four quarters, Lúnasa or Lughnasadh was traditionally celebrated on 1st August and was the wedding of the Sun god Lugh to the Earth goddess, which was believed to cause the ripening of crops.
