Lúnasa Festival 2018 – The Magic Tree

Come and experience a brand new interactive play "The Magic Tree" performed in the unique setting of Glassdrummond community woodland.

The Magic Tree is a unique new interactive play that has been created especially for performance in the wonderful Glassdrummond Community woodland. Glassdrummond Community Group in partnership with Ring of Gullion is proud to present this lively collaborative performance aimed mainly at children but appealing to anyone young at heart.

The Magic Tree features an eclectic mix of characters from Irish Folklore with some modern day fairies added in. The woods have been left in the care of “Fairy Fabulous” and “Fairy Silly Socks” who throw a mad party when the wood’s leader – Dana is away on holiday. Throughout the performance, we meet other characters from Irish Folklore providing mischief and mayhem before Dana returns and restores order to the wood again.

This is a superb opportunity to experience a wonderful drama in a unique setting, which is sure to inspire your family, young or old. There will also be arts and crafts, face-painting and other fun activities for all the family, with plenty of opportunities for joining in along the way. Families are welcome to bring a picnic.

Come along and join us for this exciting event!

Cost: Free (Donations towards the upkeep of Glassdrummond community wood are welcomed)
