The Ring of Gullion Landscape Partnership is hosting a stargazing event with the Irish Astronomical Association on Saturday 11th April from 7pm to 10pm in Cullyhanna Community Centre, Tullynavall Road, Cullyhanna.
It’s a great opportunity to learn more about the night sky, the tales of the constellations and the planets of our solar system. Highlights of the evening include a selection of powerful telescopes, displays of Hubble Telescope images, and an inflatable planetarium.
The planetarium shows take you on a 45 minute journey through the universe. Spaces are limited within the planetarium, so booking is essential.
The moon should be spectacular in the evening sky with the chance to use a selection of telescopes to see what delights the night sky holds – so wrap up warm and bring a torch.
Even if the sky is cloudy there will still be plenty to see and do.
