Volunteer Opportunity – Spruce up Mullaghbane

The community green areas in Mullaghbane are in need of a spruce up and we're looking for volunteers to lend a hand. This first work day will involve cutting back and digging up unwanted non-native species, such as cotoneaster, and digging over the soil to prepare it for future planting.

The community green areas in Mullaghbane are in need of a spruce up and we’re looking for volunteers to lend a hand. This first work day will involve cutting back and digging up unwanted non-native species, such as cotoneaster, and digging over the soil to prepare it for future planting.

At a later date the area will be planted with native and wildlife friendly plants.

All tools will be provided, along with tea and coffee; so all you need to bring with you is weather appropriate clothing and a packed lunch. The area we will be working is the grass area at the entrance to Glebe Park; parking will be available in the centre of the village next to the church, a very short walk from the work site.
