This volunteer opportunity has changed from vegetation clearance at Jonesborough Forest.
72,000 tree saplings are being delivered to Slieve Gullion Forest Park as part of One Million Trees in a day.
We need a few volunteers at Slieve Gullion Forest Park to assist with the distribution of the tree saplings to the people who have registered to receive the trees, from 9am – 1.30pm.
*UPDATE* The site at Derrymore won’t be ready in time so we no longer need volunteers for tree planting in the afternoon.
If you’d like to lend a hand and volunteer please register below and let us know which part of the day you’d like to help with. Volunteers are welcome to join us for the whole day and we can arrange a car share from Slieve Gullion to Bessbrook.
Any required tools and safety equipment will be provided, however if you have a favourite spade, you’re more than welcome to bring it. Hot drinks and biscuits will also be available.
