Spring has sprung and the first saplings in our tree nursery have sprouted. The saplings are quickly outgrowing their pots as we have outgrown the space we currently have available in the walled garden of Slieve Gullion Forest Park.
We need volunteers to help us gather up the various pots of seedlings that are distributed about the walled garden and load them into the van for transport to Tí Chulainn, Mullaghbane. The allotment there will be our temporary tree nursery until we get our own site sorted back at Slieve Gullion Forest Park; hopefully this autumn.
Once we have everything moved to the new site we’ll be transplanting the seedlings into larger pots.
All tools and safety equipment will be provided.
