Join Ann Ward, local Gullion ambassador and mindfulness instructor, for this fabulous, relaxing one-day course as an Introduction to Mindfulness. Ann will provide background on the practice of mindfulness and meditation focussing on the relationship between meditation and stress management using the tools of mindful eating and drinking, guided meditation anchoring participants in the present moment and the beautiful environment of Slieve Gullion Forest. Sessions will include Gratitude meditation , practicing detachment and nurturing acceptance as well as breathing techniques and exploring the sound of silence in a busy world. Following this course participants will be able to create a quiet meditation space and practice techniques learned at home.
