Youth Rangers 2017

Check out the adventures and hard work of our 2017 Youth Rangers. They have been very busy bracken bashing along the Slieve Gullion Famine wall walk, improving Glassdrummond Wood, hunting Slieve Gullion mountain for elusive cowberries and tending to our tree nursery. Not to mention having a lot of fun participating in adventure activities and learning useful skills.

Throughout the programme they have also been discovering all about the diverse landscape and rich heritage of the Ring of Gullion and sharing their experiences with us and one another, all the while working towards the Explorer level of their John Muir Award.

If you’d like to read more about the Youth Rangers adventures, in their own words, visit our Projects page to read their daily blog.
