Consultation on the Dormant Accounts Fund.

The National Lottery Community Fund Northern Ireland is carrying out a consultation around the Dormant Accounts Fund that will be launched in the New Year.

Groups can still have their say and feed into the consultation by visiting here.

The Dormant Accounts Fund will be used to increase capacity, resilience and sustainability in the Northern Ireland Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise sector.

Under Section 22 of the Dormant Bank and Building Society Accounts Act 2008, we will distribute money under direction from the Department of Finance to increase capacity, resilience and sustainability in the Northern Ireland Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise sector.

These funds are not derived from National Lottery activity.

To ensure this funding has maximum impact in communities across Northern Ireland, they are now consulting with the sector, with a view to opening the fund in early 2020.

What are they consulting on?

Based on the policy directions, we have developed this consultation framework. We are asking you to review this framework and tell us what you think.

How can I respond?

There are several ways you can get involved:

Review the framework and share your views, thoughts and comments – send them to us at [email protected]

You can also organise your own roundtable event and invite people from your area or sector together. They can come along to facilitate the discussions so drop them an email to let them know your event details.
