Opening of An Tobar at Finnegan’s Nursery

The Ring of Gullion Partnership would like to wish Finnegan’s Nursery luck with their new community interest company An Tobar.

It is a new, not-for -profit social enterprise. The name An Tobar means ‘the well’ and comes from a well on their farm which local people used to consider as a ‘healing well’.

They offer horticulture therapy, social farming, gardening classes & nature-based educational programmes to the community. They are currently working with children in many of our local schools and with older people in residential care.

They are developing a community garden in the Nursery and facilitate individuals and groups of all ages.
From October 1st 2018, all plant sales and tearoom sales will be used to fund the social enterprise programmes.
Please be assured that our plants and service will still be of the same high standard you have come to expect over the last thirty years. They invite you all to continue supporting the garden centre and Libby’s Tearoom as you will be supporting your local community.

They are delighted to have the opportunity to work with people of all ages in the community and share our love of plants and nature in a way that might be enjoyable and beneficial. Please note they have limited their opening hours to accommodate their new schedule. Finnegan’s Nursery & Garden Centre and Libby’s Tearoom are now open Tuesday to Saturday 10am to 4.30pm.
