  • Attracting New Visitors
  • Digital Development
  • Investing in People
  • Leadership & Management
  • Product/Experience Development.

Keep updated on the programme and be the first to be invited to their events by signing up to their newsletter here.  More information about each event can be found on their events page here.

As part of this programme, Tourism NI is delighted to partner with both The Northern Ireland Hotels Federation and Tourism Ireland to bring you an insight session on Demystifying the role of Online Travel Agents (OTAs) on the 6th December in Belfast.  To register please Click here .

Tourism NI launches 2019/2020 Tourism Events Funding Programme

Tourism NI has launched two separate funding schemes as part of its 2019/2020 Tourism Events Funding Programme. The programme consists of the International Tourism Events Fund and the National Tourism Events Sponsorship Scheme which were introduced to boost the attractiveness of Northern Ireland as a holiday destination to visitors and increase spend.

The international funding scheme now requires applicants to set up a meeting with a member of the Tourism NI events team before proceeding with an application. To do this you can contact the events team at [email protected] or 028 9044 1656. The international funding scheme is currently open and the deadline for submission is Monday 26 November.

The national funding scheme will include a series of workshops across Northern Ireland in December to guide applicants through the process. Each session will run for two hours and will include the opportunity for a one-to-one meeting with a member of the Tourism NI Events Team. To book a place visit www.tourismni.com/events.

Registration for the national sponsorship scheme will open on Monday 3 December.

Augmented Reality Challenge

Tourism NI has launched a competition to inspire innovation in augmented reality (AR) amongst the local technology and tourism industries with a £200,000 prize fund.

Technology companies are being encouraged to partner with the tourism industry to develop solutions to help visitors in Northern Ireland find and encounter new experiences while also encouraging them to stay longer and spend more.

For further details on entry requirements for the competition and to apply, visit www.tourismni.com/AR before the deadline of November 19, 2018.
