Walkers rewarded with great views on the Summit of Slieve Gullion

On Saturday past, as part of the ongoing series of events run by the Ring of Gullion, walkers were guided up the slopes of Slieve Gullion. Walkers from far (Korea!) and near (Drumintee) were led to the summit by guide Fiona Mullan. Walkers heard about the myths and legends of Slieve Gullion, it’s volcanic past and the archaeology draped on all sides.

Darren Rice, Ring of Gullion Officer, said “It was great to welcome everyone along to this years first Ramble Gullion event.” He continued, “ There are lots of opportunities for walkers of all ages and fitness in the Ring of Gullion and I would encourage anybody that’s interested to get in contact with me.”
