Walk the wild
Do you enjoy walking in the Ring of Gullion AONB? Whether you are a solo walker or involved in a group you can get involved in volunteering as part of your journey.
Trail Rangers
We are looking for solo walkers to adopt a stretch of the Ring of Gullion Way, walk it twice yearly and report on any notable areas we can improve on. We are also really interested to hear of any biodiversity sightings along the way.
Training opportunities in species identification can be provided and social opportunities with other volunteers are available throughout the year. If you are interested fill in the volunteer expression of interest form.
Walking Groups
Are you part of a walking group in the Ring of Gullion? Incorporating some volunteering as part of your walk can be a great way of giving back to the natural area that gives you so much joy. It can be as simple as collecting litter on your normal walk or one of our team can arrange for a practical activity you can incorporate into your route.
What about all those wonderful birds and butterflies you spot on your way around? Your group can take part in FREE training on species ID and enjoy being citizen scientists too. To take part please fill out a volunteering form on behalf of your group and someone will be in touch.
