Lúnasa is one of the four great days in the Celtic wheel of the year (there are eight in total). It traditionally announced the beginning of the grain harvest, was recognised as a time for matchmaking and marks the sun’s progress around our planet. These were days of rent paying and stock taking but also days of pausing, merriment, reflecting and exploring what needs to be done in the coming period.
Traditionally, people began gathering a few days before August 1st in order to welcome the new season, to ‘bring it on’. You are invited to come along and enter into a pausing space, a space to reflect and discover what personal gifts, skills or ideas you need to harvest and bring forth over the coming season. Through creative expression we will explore the cyclical flow of nature and the self. You will learn about the Celtic wheel of the year and how this can be a useful support in your life. This day will be of interest to those who are interested in deepening their inner sacred spaces through the ancient wisdom of our seasonal and connecting cycles.
Facilitator: Janet O’Hagan, is a County Armagh woman, Arts Therapist and a Ring of Gullion Ambassador with a passion for the myths and ways of our ancient fore bearers. She has over thirty years experience in facilitating groups.
