Developing Outdoor Recreation in the south Armagh Area Workshop

A workshop is running on Tuesday 21st June at 7.30pm-9.30pm in Mullaghbane Community Centre to provide information on upcoming funding opportunities for outdoor recreation development and discuss ideas on greater partnership working.

A workshop is running on Tuesday 21st June at 7.30pm-9.30pm in Mullaghbane Community Centre to provide information on upcoming funding opportunities for outdoor recreation development and discuss ideas on greater partnership working.

Sport NI will be facilitating the workshop and speaking about the funding grant for outdoor recreation which will has just opened.

The Ring of Gullion AONB project would also like to discuss the organising of a Get Outdoors Weekend. They are looking to organise the weekend on the 16th– 18th September and are looking for comments and suggestions for activities.

So, if you want to develop any recreation activities outdoors; running, walking, cycling, angling, climbing, outdoor swimming, orienteering or something else we haven’t thought of  come along and find out how we can work together to benefit the people of south Armagh.

The workshop will cover information/discussion around:-

  • Funding
  • Working in Partnership ie linking improving health and well-being outcomes.
  • Get Outdoors Weekend.
  • Setting up/becoming an outdoor recreation forum and what the forum would involved.

Please let us know by Monday 20th June if you will be attending to enable us to ensure that we have enough tea/ coffee for everyone.
