Red Squirrel Walks in Slieve Gullion Forest Park

As part of Red Squirrel Week 2017, Newry Mourne and Down District Council will be hosting special guided walks at Slieve Gullion Forest Park all based around the loveable red squirrel!

As part of Red Squirrel Week 2017, Newry Mourne and Down District Council will be hosting special guided walks at Slieve Gullion Forest Park all based around the loveable red squirrel!

Come and learn all about the wonderful Red Squirrels at these FREE guided walks!

Led by Dave Tosh, these walks will tell you all about the work we are doing to save this much-loved and iconic creature… and hopefully we will see a few too!

The Red Squirrel Group have being working with Dave Tosh on a Pine Marten Nest Box Scheme over the last year. If you would like to learn more about this project and get involved, there will be a walk and talk starting on the Forest Rd, side of the Slieve Gullion Forest Park.
