Glassdrummond Wood
Glassdrummond Wood is a newly developing community resource, thanks to permission from the local parish and Challenge Fund money, a loop path has been installed in the forest, taking you through the trees and behind St. Brigid’s Roman Catholic Church. The local primary school hope to develop the site further as an outdoor education resource as well as a lovely place for locals to go to experience nature and have a pleasant walk.
Over the years the wood had been used as a bit of a dumping ground and was in bad need of a tidy up. With the help of Mrs Keating, Principal of St. Brigid’s Primary School, we gathered together keen members of the local community to help tidy up the wood.
