Newry Mourne and Down District Council’s Financial Assistance 2024-2025 – Call 1

Newry, Mourne and Down District Council invites applications for financial assistance towards the programme areas outlined below:

Open to Community Voluntary Sector (all):

  • Community Engagement
  • Community Events & Festivals (Projects running between 01 April 2024 – 30 September 2024)
  • Good Relations
  • Irish Language
  • Minority Communities Fund
  • PCSP Community Safety Support
  • Sports Programmes

Community Voluntary Sector (all) and Business can apply for:

  • Arts and Culture Projects
  • Tourism Events

Open to Community Associations only (Applicants must meet the definition of a community association given in the guidance notes and documentation will be required as evidence):

  • Community Summer Schemes

Opening date: Monday 22 January 2024 at 12 noon

Closing date: Wednesday 28 February 2024 at 12 noon

Please note: Due to the development of a new grant management system, we are opening Call 1 slightly later than usual and other themes will be issued in Call 2, which we shall issue notice of in due course. 

Funding Workshops

Workshops providing an overview of the financial assistance available, guidance on procurement and an overview of the new grant management system including how to register, will take place as follows: 

  • Wednesday 17 January 2024, 10am – Online
  • Thursday 18 January 2024, 2pm – Online 
  • Tuesday 23 January 2024, 7pm – Newry Leisure Centre
  • Thursday 25 January 2024, 7pm – Conference Room, Downshire Civic Centre
