Description: 

A woodland walk exploring Slieve Gullion Forest Park, utilising trails on the lower slopes of Slieve Gullion.

The woodland comprises oak, ash, birch, beech, sweet chestnut and horse chestnut in which was once part of the Chambre Demesne. There are magnificent views of the Ring of Gullion mountains including Croslieve, Slievebrack and Mullaghbane Mountains from the path.

The walk starts and finishes in the car park of Slieve Gullion Forest Park and may be subject to diversion and closure from time to time as this is a working forest.

Description: 

A linear walk along the Gunclub Forest Road. Information panels will tell you about the local habitats and feature pictures of wildlife from Slieve Gullion. There are two hides where you can watch out for Red Squirrels at monitored feeding stations. The best time to see squirrels is dawn and dusk.
